Connecticut Department of Education -
This site indexes all of the statistical information
for every school district in the state. Just click on
the town you're interested in for a report that
outlines SAT scores, teacher/student ratios,
special programs, etc. Look at the bottom of the
page for magnet and charter schools.

Great Schools Website - An ambitious
project providing information on all schools, as
well as a forum for parents, teachers, and
principals to submit comments and reviews.

Two Rivers Magnet Middle School -
Located in East Hartford, the school services
East Hartford, Glastonbury, Manchester,
Hartford, & South Windsor and utilizes
state-of-the-art technology to focus on
environmental science for grades 6-8.

Howell Cheney Tech High School
Located in Manchester, Cheney Tech offers
vocational training & apprenticeships in 10
different technologies.
Newspapers & Media
The Reminder - A great community free
newspaper. The full version of the paper is available
online for free. Which edition covers which town is not
always immediately apparent, so choose a few to find
what you're looking for.

Journal Inquirer - Published in Manchester and
serving 17 towns in the North Central region. Most
stories are available online, as well as classifieds.

Hartford Courant - The largest newspaper in the
state. It is also the oldest continuously published
newspaper in the country (started in 1764).

CTNow - Produced by the Courant, this site is the
most comprehensive guide to events & entertainment
across the state.
